Paul's World

The apostle Paul lived in a different world than we do. Please plan to join us during Wednesday Night Live for 5 session overviews to see what was going on in his life and time.

Class will be held in Rooms 149/151 at 6:00 PM. Greg Hallstrom will present these sessions based on the visits he’s made to a number of these areas along with research on the upcoming cruise that a number of people from St. John’s will be taking in October.

Jan. 28th: Along with Paul’s 2nd trip, we will focus on his pastoral letters, the commonalities of Roman cities, and the key community of Syrian Antioch.

NewSound Family Music

Our NewSound Family Music program is back with more offerings for children and their families.

NewSound Family Music is for children 3 months through age 4 and their adult caregivers. These classes allow adults and children to participate in music through singing, chanting, moving, dancing, listening, and playing simple instruments. Children and adults who participate in musical activities develop a lifelong musical bond. We have several class options during this session.

Wednesday Night Live

Plan to join us for great meals, wonderful classes, and an overall good time!

As always, you are invited to join us on Wednesday evenings at 5:00 PM for an always-changing menu featuring great food. The cost for the meal is $10 for Adults (18 years old and over), $5 for Children (ages 12 to 17), $2 for Children (ages 6 to 11), and anyone under 6 years old eats for FREE. The menu for January 28th: Breakfast for Dinner—Featuring Baked French Toast and Fresh Crepes

There are also a large variety of free programs and classes – for adults, youth, and children – to choose from both before and after the dinner.

Seven Deadly Sins

Our inter-generational faith groups will continue every Wednesday Night Live in Room 258 from 6:00 PM—7:00 PM.

This semester, the class will be about the “Seven Deadly Sins” and “Seven Holy Virtues.” Where did they come from and what makes them more important than any of the others?

Bring your Bible, your parent, your son/daughter.

FPA Hosting Week

"For the Love of Wesley"

Friday, February 6th

The primary fund raising event for the Wesley House is coming up. A dinner and auction will be held on Friday, February 6th, in the Family Life Center at St. John’s form 5:00 PM—7:00 PM. The dinner is provided by Chef Tim, and there will be a live and silent auction with a variety of items for sale.

Tickets are $15 per person, or $25 per couple, and are available in the Welcome Center on Sundays, the Church Office, or by calling Kathy Dieruf (505-220-5764). If you have items to donate to the auction, we will happily accept those as well! Please support this important, growing ministry on the UNM campus!

Our Ministries

Adult Ministries
St. John's offers a large number of opportunities for Adults to get involved with the church.
Youth Ministries
The youth ministry programs at St. John's are tailored specifically for both Senior High and Mid-High School students. Our goal for all of these programs is to encourage and guide our youth to become faithful diciples of Jesus.
Child & Family Ministries
St. John's United Methodist Church has an oustanding and full children's program. In addition to Sunday School, St. John's offers a variety of music, sports, scouting, and other group activities for children in a nurturing, encouraging, and caring Christian envirionment.
