Family Promise of Albuquerque

Please stop by the Welcome Center on Sunday and signup for a slot to help host homeless families at St. John’s during our next rotation, May 31st – June 7th.

Volunteers are needed to help set up rooms, pick up our guests, provide meals, visit with the families, stay overnight at the church during the rotation week, and drive the Family Promise van.

Saddle Up with the POLO Group

Plan to join the POLO Group (People of Leisure and Others) as they make the trip to Palo Duro Canyon, Texas, on Tuesday, June 23rd, to see the outdoor musical production of TEXAS.

Let's Do Lunch!

Ladies, you’re invited to join us for lunch on Saturday, June 6th, at 11:30 AM at Le Peep (located in Park Square, 2125 Louisiana Blvd NE, Suite 100). This is our annual UMW (United Methodist Women) June Luncheon, just before we head into our summer break.

We’ll order from the menu, but to insure adequate seating, please make a reservation, no later than June 1st, by contacting Jane Perry ( or 898-8535). We welcome all ladies of all ages for this time of fun and fellowship!

First Sunday Lunch - June 7th

It’s time to kick off summer right with Slow Roasted BBQ Brisket and Chicken for First Sunday Lunch. And, as a fun addition for this meal, Chef Tim’s From-Scratch Sweet and Spicy BBQ Sauce will be served via BBQ Fondue Fountain! Don’t miss out!

Come by the Family Life Center any time between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Lunch is for the low price of $10 for adults, $5 for ages 12-17, $2 for ages 6-11, and FREE for those under 6. Meal includes entrée, fresh garden salad, sides, bread, dessert, and tea and coffee. Gluten Free options available. The little lambs meal is Taquitos. No reservations required. Bring a friend. Preschool Plus Summer Camps

Preschool Plus is a five-star, nationally accredited program. We offer seven week-long summer camps throughout June & July, from 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM. Camps include: Cooking 101, Artful Antics, Under the Big Top, Camping, New Mexico, Kings & Queens, and Ruth Krauss.

Camps are for children ages 3-5 years old. Extended care is available from 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM & 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM. Registration for both summer camps and the 2015-2016 School Year has begun.

S.M.A.R.T. Camp

Our annual Summer Music, Art, Rhythm, and Theater (SMART) Camp will be held July 13-17. The camp is for rising 1st – 6th Graders and is open to the community. (Children must be 6 years old prior to Sept. 1st, 2015.)

The camp will run from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM at St. John’s. During the day, the children will follow a rotating schedule of sessions in various musical activities and prepare a musical, which will be performed on Friday.

This summer, we’ll build lots of awesome LEGO creations, learn about Jesus, and have FUN! Each Wednesday in July, from 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM in the SonShine Café. For kids going into kindergarten and up.

Adult Ministries
St. John's offers a large number of opportunities for Adults to get involved with the church.
Youth Ministries
The youth ministry programs at St. John's are tailored specifically for both Senior High and Mid-High School students. Our goal for all of these programs is to encourage and guide our youth to become faithful diciples of Jesus.
Child & Family Ministries
St. John's United Methodist Church has an oustanding and full children's program. In addition to Sunday School, St. John's offers a variety of music, sports, scouting, and other group activities for children in a nurturing, encouraging, and caring Christian envirionment.
