|Kingdom Quest Sunday School – Grades K-4:
St. John’s United Methodist Church is proud to offer this exciting faith education program for children. In Kingdom Quest, children meet in aged-classes to play, lead, and create while learning about Bible stories. For the 2017-208 year, the kids will be learning with the Bible in One Year Program. Each week, the kids learn about a new Bible story or figure, and how each of those events/people fits into God’s plan! The curriculum engages children with meaningful activities that encourage participation and interaction. Classes meet upstairs at both 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM. Classes at 9:30 are held in room 236 for 3rd to 5th graders, and in room 248 for kindergarten through 2nd grade. At 11 a.m., K-5th grade are grouped together in room 248.
|Preschool Sunday School – Ages 3 through pre-K:
Preschool Sunday School is specifically designed for children ages 3 through pre-Kindergarten. Every Sunday, this program provides children with a hands-on approach to learning God’s Word. The Preschool Sunday School meets in Room 140 at 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM. Preschoolers are also working on The Bible in One Year program.
|Little Lambs Nursery – Infants through Age 2:
Our highly trained and caring staff is available to shepherd our youngest friends (infants – 3 years old) during every worship service. In addition, the Little Lambs Nursery is offered during some other church meetings and functions. Age appropriate activities and developmentally stimulating toys help the children enjoy their nursery experience. Pagers are available so parents can worship without worry. All Nursery workers are CPR certified, background checked, and have undergone Safe Sanctuaries Training.
Each Tuesday, the kids will split their time between two classes: Obstacle Training and a Bible Lesson.
In obstacle training, the kids will work with Coaches Josh Kronberg and Beverly Gerard. Coach Josh is a five-time Ninja Warrior Competitor, gym owner, and obstacle course coach. Coach Beverly is a Group Fitness Instructor, personal trainer/owner at Skipbarfitness, and mother who believes fitness is a great way for children to excel.
In Bible class, we’ll learn how God helps us to be strong and confident. With his help, anything is possible—whether it be running through an awesome obstacle course, doing well in school, or being a good friend to others—he has a plan for us to become great!
