Pastor Tiffany Hollums decided that each day during Lent, she would choose a word to prayerfully reflect upon. A volunteer suggested reading the lectionary texts and then choosing a word that stood out from those passages. She is sharing those reflections here and hopes to inspire our readers to join in her journey.
Readings:
Psalm 128
Numbers 21:4-9
Hebrews 3:1-6
Reflection:
Home.
Reminds me of honeysuckle and pies baking. But it also makes me think of home I’ve found in Jesus-‘home’ that is more than a physical place. It is a refuge from the world and it’s craziness. A place where I know I’m loved and safe. It is that sense when I close my eyes and can feel calming waves rush over me. It is those moments when I realize in a special way that God is with me.
Home.
Praying you have moments ahead in which you get a sense that you are home.
