RSVP for Looking to the Future Day on November 2

November 2 is a special day, one which I hope you have on your calendars. On that day, you are invited to gather with us for the St. John's Looking to the Future Day. Our goal is to unite as a congregation and commit to shared goals for the coming five to seven years. I am excited about the possibilities. 

Most people today see the future with uncertainty and fear. We see challenges looming on the horizon and a world that is changing rapidly, and we begin to fear what the future holds. Sometimes it is easier to simply focus on the present rather than look to the future. 

While looking to the future can evoke anxiety, hiding from the future is ultimately self-defeating. As people of faith, while we can't be certain of the future, we trust that God will continue to be present with care for all of us in the future, just as in the past. We look to the future with hope, because we trust God. 

I believe St. John's future is bright, and I hope you do too. If you wish to have a voice in articulating our congregation's future, be sure to join us on November 2.
